Community Art, Education & Sharing.

We’re artists, and activists, and teachers - Soul-appointed Griots.  We’re finding creative, synergistic ways to bring our work together.  Then we’re going on the road. We’re bringing our work to folks who can’t always come to us.  It’s that simple. Black Synergy enables us to bring our work to senior centers, schools, houses of worship, parks, homes, and anywhere else that will have us.  And we’re always open to new community partnerships.  Got an idea? Let us know!

Black Synergy News

The “Year” may be over, but YOTG is still giving back.

During the week of December 13, 2010, YOTG will deliver MORE THAN 125 Books and periodicals to the Durham Youth Home and the Durham Public Schools system.  Magazines titles such as Newsweek, Colorlines, American Legacy, Oprah, Success, Essence, Ebony, and Science are in the sack, along with books like Marable’s Living Black History, the Delany Sisters’ Having Our Say, and bilingual children’s selections, including Laughing Tomatoes and other Spring Poems/Jitomates Risueños y Otras poemas de Primavera

A special thanks goes out to all of our community Griots who have partnered with us for a second year to provide inspirational, educational reading materials for community youth.

It’s That Time Again!: On October 4, 2010 YOTG will deliver DOZENS of books and other reading materials to the Durham Youth Home. Have used or new materials to donate?  Let us know!
